50 States and Covid-19
In November of 2019, we began our journey to paint, photograph, learn, and connect with communities in all 50 states. Four and a half months and 17 states later, the coronavirus pandemic hit the U.S. and forced us to return home to the D.C. area.
We will get back on the road as soon as it is safe to travel.
In the meantime, the project continues from home.
Kate has recently accomplished her goal of making 100 paintings in the year since the beginning of the trip in November 2019.
See the paintings in a gallery format here.
Tom has spent his time in social isolation editing the thousands of photos he took on the road. See his edit here.
He has also continued his visual research by creating a second chapter of his project documenting life at home in quarantine.
